Switchfoot at the Music Farm

About six or seven weeks ago, I got a heads up that Switchfoot would be coming to my favorite hometown venue, The Music Farm.  Because I had resigned myself to not being able to see them again until sometime next year, this was some very welcome news. And this close to Christmas...it felt like an early Christmas present/Christmas party was coming my way.

And I was right.  Seeing Switchfoot is always a gift...and there was most DEFINITELY a party at the Farm Saturday night!

As usual, as the show ended I found myself saying "That's THE BEST Switchfoot show I've ever seen!"  So funny how they just seem to get better and better...but truly, this show ranked up there with the Atlanta Hello Hurricane Show in terms of sheer energy.  The guys seemed to be on fire...singing and playing with such conviction and passion that no one in the room remained unaffected.

In addition to Jon's guitar "crowd surfing" for the first time, there was one other first that sent the crowd over the edge  Brothers Bear and Bo Rinehart of NEEDTOBREATHE were invited onstage to join Switchfoot in a cover of Tom Petty's Won't Back Down.  Almost too much rock for one stage!

And here's the funny part...I almost didn't shoot this show.  It's been so long since I've just watched a SF show w/o shooting that I wasn't sure I would shoot or not.  But certain circumstances led to me change my mind and shoot....and being glad that I did (Thanks Tim!).

Here are a few from the night!  Enjoy. And as always, thanks so much for following the blog!
